Volunteer Regulations.

[>Vanganui Herald.] The effect of the new Volunteer regu'ations although very satisfactory to Wanganui Volunteers, is threatening- < the disbanding of a number of corps in the late Wanganui district. The Hawera Light Hoise, Normanby Rifles, Wan* ganui Cadets, and Patea Cadats have disbanded, and the future action ot the Hawera Rifles, Marton Royals, Manchester and Palmereton North Rifles is doubtful. At tho termination of Captain Neill's commission about 1060 men were enrolled in the Wanganui district, while under the new regulations there will probably not be more than 300. '■"■"■
