MOTUEKA WHARF BOARD.

At the ordinary meeting of the above Board, held last week, the chair was taken by Mr H. Everett, in the absence of Mr Wratt. Minutes of previous meeting were read and confirmed. Accounts amounting to £44 11s 8d were passed for payment. Resolved that Mr Everett be a delegate to meet Mr R. McKenzie re wharf matters. Resolved, That a special meeting of the Board be held at the Board’s office on the 7th July, at 3 p.m. for the purpose of levying a wharf late of one half penny per ton on the registered tonnage of each vessel coming to the wharf Resolved, that the Secretary write to the Motueka Fruitgrowers’ Go-opera-tive Association informing them that their tramline needs some alterations, and that they be respectfully requested to alter the same under the supervision cf the wharfinger. Resolved, That the wharfinger be empowered to procure 800 bundles of manuka, and have the necessary work done to protect the sand bank at the northern point; also to have all material on the bank collected ; also that about five chains of the bank (adjoining that which the wharfinger is to protect) be done under the supervision of Mr Everett. The wharfinger’s leport was read and considered. It was decided to hold the next meeting of the Board on the 7th of July.
