MOTUEKA WHARF BOARD.

The ordinary monthly meeting of the above Board was .held on - Monday afternoon. Present, Messrs Wratt (chairman),* Everett and Beuke. Minutes of previous,* meeting read and adopted. Accounts amounting to ..£3o6' 11s were passed for payment, Mr Currin to be paid 75 per cent arid the balance on receipt of Mr Akersten’s certificate. Resolved, on the motion of Mr Beuke seconded by Mr Everett, That in future all payments be made by cheque. Proposed by Mr Wratt seconded bv Mr Beuke, That applications be called for twelve month’s supply of kerosene oil.

The wharfinger reported that during the month of September 34 vessels arrived and sailed and that the revenue was £3O 17s lid. It was decided to accept the tenders of the Anchor Company and also that of Cresswell and Holdaway lor wharf extension, the other work to be carried out provided the chairman cau make the necessary financial arrangements. Resolved, that Mr Akersten be B paM LlO on account, in accordance with request. Seven applications were received for the position of Secretary to the Board. After consideration, Mr William Boyct. was appointed. A letter from Mr Manoy, complaining of the deposit of artificial manures in the sheds was read and it was decided to inform Mr Manoy that the complaint would be attended to.
