The following geritlemeri have promised to give the amounts named viz : —Mr Wratt £25, Mi-: ; Edwaids L 5, Mr Haycock L 5, Mr Rhodes Rev. Mr Johnston LlO if built during his time, and L. 5 if subsequently. The; election of officer resulted as follows:—H. A. Tarrant, Peoples’ Churchwarden ; H. E. Gilbert, Ministers Churchwarden. The same Vestrymen were elected as last year except that Mr H. E. Gilbert takes the place of Mr Edwards, who, at his own request, retired from the Churchwardenship, and was elected a Vestryman. M essrs Edwards and Haycock were appointed Sidesmen. The officers of the Church were heartily thanked for the services during the past year, also the Organist and members of the Choir. The following is the report alluded to above : The church affairs been going on throughout the year very, much the same as previously. The Vestry have insured the c^P rc h and its contents for the sum of on the building, upon the neW J Wfs>, n> , and upon the reading desk, pulpi'Kcommunion table, font, and pews. A, portion of the vicarage roof has been covered with iron, which was very much wanted, as the old roof leaked badly. The vestry are very much indebted, to Mr K. Pankin for this work, he having had a subscription paper and raised the necessary amount, 2s nd; namely, 5s sd for iron, and £$ 17s 6d for putting it on. There will bfe a credit balance of about 60s which can be, expended on any other needed repairs to the vicarage roof. The choir, assisted by funds, has also very generously provided the church! with a handsome new organ, which is a very great improvement on the old one. The vestry desires to point out that the church (part of which was erected on the old site between fifty and sixty years ago> is becoming somewhat dilapidated, and should be replaced with a new one, more up to date in appearance. The church year has expired, and we are grateful to state with the Vicar fully paid up, and also the arrears which were owing last year ; this has been accomplished with the aid of .the ladies and others who were instrumental in getting up the art and hobby show, which was a great success, and added .£3l 5s to the funds. H. A. Tarrant 1 , q A. R. Edwards } Churchwardens.
