SCHOOL ATTENDANCE ACT
The following .are the compulsory clauses of the above act, referred to at the late public meeting :
Section 3. Sub-Section 1, reads as follows : Subject to the pr wisions of the provisions of the principal Act and of this Act, every child between the age of seven years and the age of fourteen years is hereby required toattend some public school not less than four times in any week that the.-school is open six times, six times m any week that tne."school- is open eight times, and eight times iu, any ..week that the school is open ten times, morning and afternoon attendances being separately counted And Subsection 5 of the same Sec J tion —The provisions of this Act shall apply to Maori and, half-caste children attending public schools.
