Garden.—Plant potatoes of the early kinds; sow spinach, peas, beans, broccoli, cauliflower, turnips, carrots, and parsnips, small salading, parsley, radishes; sow and plant lettuce, sow celery, pot herbs, kidney beans; transplant cabbages and savoys; graft youp trees—the season is indicated by the budding of the stocks —the best method is whip grafting; plant out suckers in nursery rows. Field.—Plough for maize j prepare ground for grasses and clover. Karly varieties of wheat and oats may be sown. Prepare ground by ploughing and harrowing for the potato crop, as it is necessary for its success to have the ground well pulverized.
