AUCKLAND AND NEW ULSTER AGRICULTURAL AND HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY. AT a Meeting of the Committee of ihis Society, held on the sth January, inst., at the Masonic Hotel, Major Matson presiding, it was resolved that the Society's next Exhibition of Stock, Farm and Garden Produce, fihould take place on the 13th March next, and that prizes should be given for the best of the undermentioned stock, corn, and other producviz : Cart Stallion, Cart Mare Bull, Yearling onll, Cow, Heifer Boar, Sow, Bacon Pig Ram long-woolled, Ram merino, Ram southdown, Ewes long-woolled, pen of 3, ewes merino, pen of 3 ; ewes south-down, pen of 3 ; Lambs, pen of 5 Wheat, New Ulster grown, 2 bushels Wheat, grown by a native, 9 bushels Barley, New Ulster grown, 2 bushels Oats, New Ulster grown, 2 bushels Rye Grass Seed, New Ulster grown, 2 bushels Mixed Grasses, 2 bushels Any Grass worthy of recommendation (at the discretion of the Judges) 1 bushel of Seed White Clover Seed, 50 lbs. Plough and pair of Horses, being the property of one person Plough and pair of Bullocks, also the property of one person Cheese, 10 lbs., Butter, 0 lbs. Honey, 5 lbs., Wax, 511>s Grape Wine, made in the Province, 6 bottles Beer, brewed in the province, 2 gallons Pair of Turkeys, ditto Geese, ditto Ducks, Couple of Fowls, Cock and Hen. HORTICULTURAL. Melons, Grapes, Apples, Pears, Stone Fruits Flowers, Nosegay Dahlia Pumpkin, Vegetable Marrow, Potatoes, ditto collection of sorts Cabbage, Carrots, Cauliflowers, Onions Rhubarb, Hops. A Premium will be given to the Maori producing the best certificate of his usefulness and trustworthiness as a Farm Servant. The amount of the prizes and further particulars will be given in a future advertisement. It is requested that the subscriptions be paid at an early date to the Treasurer or Secretaries.
