Civil Secretary's Office, Auckland, 21st March, 1819. on the night of the 20th * >■• February, 181!), Four Prisoners of the Crown, named " John Hill," *' Rees Griffiths," "John King," mid "Matthew' Clarke," hereafter more particularly described, did abscond in the Psyche, a cutter of about 12 tons burthen, with running bowsprit and clinker built, painted light yellow inside and black outside, belonging to the Lord Bishop of Tasmania, then lying at the new wharf, Ilobart Town, in charge of the said John Hill, the said prisoners having previously stolen from on board the schooner Swallow, a sextant, 2 charts, water breakers, clothing, biscuit, &c. : And whereas there is reason to believe that it was the intention of tho abovenamed Prisoners of the Crown to proceed to some part of this colony : The Govemor-in-Chief df New Ze'aland hereby directs notice to be given that a Reward of Fifteen Pounos will be given for the apprehension of each of the above-named parties, or for such information, given to the proper authorities, as shall lead to their capture.
