Naseby Borough Council.
Ihe monthly meeting on Wednesday evening was attended by His Worship th* Mayor (Mr Fraser), Crs Marslin. Hore and Ball.
The minutes having been read and confirmed on the motion of Cra Ball and Marslin, the correspondence (of a formal nature) was read. . The inwnni included a letter from the Commissioner of Stamps requesting a list of tht-
picture theatres and other places of amusement in the borough. The information was required in connection with the amusements tax. Tho inward correspondence was received and the outward approved on the motioD of Crs Hore and Ball. On the motion of Crs Marslin and Ball, accounts amounting to £lB 9s 6d were passed for payment.
It was resolved to dispose of, by tender, the old timber that had been used in the bridge at the foot of Levenstreet.
It was resolved that the mayor find out if the County Council will consent to W. Milne acting as ranger for the borough, and if their consent is given, to try and arrange with Mr Milne. Cr Ball said petrol itreet lamps were unobtainable at present. Inquiries had •hown that they were hardly suitable, as it was always necessary to extinguish the light.
