The correct dates for thesittihg of the next Court at Hamilton, ■ Hyde', and Macraes are March 16, 17, and 18, respectively. A sudden death occurred- yesterday at BlackstoneHill. Mr. Thomas Tumbull,- a> very old arid well -known resident is dead. It is said that death followed on a fight the previous evening'with another man named Clyde. As the inquest is to be held to-day we keep back current rumors.
. The Cromwell correspondent to the '' Dun* stan Times ' writes :—I hear that Mr. Gudgeon will'shortly take charge of the new bank —which is now temporarily opened at Messrs. Hallenstein and Co.'s old store. Mr." Gudgeon is very well liked, and the new bank.have done the right thing in securing so useful and competent an agent.
