A man framed Jolm lieid, brother ot Mr. Uobert Ileid, of Heid and Gray, who was in the employ of that firm as ham-raer-man, died very suddenly last week. Deceased, who arrived here frem Oamaru about seven weeks ago, has been suffering from a cold for some time past. While at work as usual, about nine o'clock the same morning, he suddenly gave a cry, "fell down, and never spoke again. Deceased, who was -forty-eight years of age, is a native of Scotland, and resided in King street. He was married about a month, and had complained of a pain in his chest, for which he had taken "lung balsam',' ever since his arrival in town. Ad. inquest was held last week.—' Star,'
