RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Thursday, August 28th. (Before H. W. Robinson, Esq., R.M., and L. W. Busch, Esq., J.P.) . Aitken v. Gh Sinclair.—Claim £23 3s. lOd. Judgment confessed, with 17s. costs. Hjorring v. Graham. Fraud summons. The summons was informal on the face of it, as setting out that the defendant was resident within this district, while he lived in Dunedin. The Bench remarked that the error was made by the Clerk of the Court, in not altering the form of summons to meet the case. Ultimately the case was adjourned until October 2nd, to allow of the defendant's evidence being taken in Dunedin.
