Resident Magistrate's Court. (Before H. W. Robinson, Esq., R.M.) Wm. Chamberlain, .charged with being drunk and disorderly, was fined 205., with the usual alternative. Hammond v. Cockerill.. —Claim,. £2O for goods sold and delivered. Judgment for amount claiined, with 225. costs. Claffy Brothers v. Sun Soon Shun and Others. Claim, £l9 for goods sold and delivered. Xo appearanee. Case struck out. A slaughtering license was granted to R. Donaldson.
"Warden's Court
(Before H. W. Robinson, Esq., Warden.) The memorial of Travers and Others for an additional area to be declared open for occupation in acre claims, under e 1 Reg. iv. of the G-oldfi elds Rules and Regulations, was heard, and there being no objection, declared open accordingly.
The Warden had an interview with the members of a Committee appointed at a public meeting to confer with him, relative to the declaration of an agricultural block. The "Warden exhibited a plan showing the proposed boundaries of land to be exempted from agricultural occupation within the block in question. After some discussion, it was arranged that the map should be left with the Committee for a few days, in order that thej might lay it before their constituents.
The application of" Wmu Price, for a residence area, was refused, as it appeared that the applicant was already in occupation of a portion of ground at Macraes, and that the piece applied ibi? was a long road, frontage. The application of Travers and Others for a dam and extended claim, was granted.
