(Before H. W. Robinson, Esq., R.M.) Noon v. Kelly and Noon v. Byrne. —These were assault cases, and were both, with the consent of the Court, withdrawn. Thvesdat, Jvne 15. (Before H. W. Robinson, Esq., R.M., and W G-rumitt, Esq., J.P.) Police v. Scherp —This was a charge that .Scherp had, at his house at Sowburn, on the 10th instant, made use of indecent and abusive language towards his wife, Elizabeth Scherp. Pined 20s. or 24 hours, 3s. 6d. costs. Same v. same.—This was a further charge for assaulting his wife on the same day, by throwing a basin at her, by which she received a severe- wound in the temple. Fined £3, with 6s. 6d. costs. Several small debt cases were settled out of Court.
