CAR CAPSIZED AND IGNITES.

PAS SENDEES’ NARROW ESCAPE.

A five-seater car travelling from Wellington towards Palmerston N. on Sunday crashed when negotiating the Wiaikanae railway crossing. It capsized against the fence and immediately caught lire.

The three men aboard were in a perilous position and had to be assisted out, but not before all were more or less severely burned. One of the three, it is stated, suffered severe burns to the legs and had to be conveyed by aanbulanoe to the Wellington Hospital. 'The car was completely destroyed by the fire.
