FURTHER' CHARGES HEARD,

Auckland, November 5. \ On the evening of Labour Dill a constable was attacked and jured by a. number of young men. In consequence of a thorough round-up, four men are now spending a month .in gaol and three have been lined £5. Of the three one spent eight days in gaol on remand. .. .

During the bearing of the cases to-day the Magistrate commented strongly on the fact that the accused, several of whom are under 21, had obtained liquor at an hotel.
