Tim monthly meeting of the Foxton Lunch dull) was held in Whyte’s Hotel to-day presided over by Mr. Win. Trueman. The speak--01 was .Mr. .). A. Smith, of Levin, who took for bis subject “Lighthouses on the New Zenaliid Coast.” .Mr. Smith delivered a very interesting- 'talk at the conclusion of which lie was accorded a vote of thanks on the motion of Messrs W. E. Bullard and R. J. Thompson.

Those present were Messrs M. E. Perreau, ,J. K. Hornblow, W. IT. Nicholas, >W. E. 'Bullard, R. J. Thompson, F. A. Mason, R. 0. Hornblow, and the Secretary (Mr F. IT. Murray) Apologies were received from Messrs C. M. He weft, R. Sorhie and R. Parke*.
