MOTORIST’S CALLOUS ACTION.
Gisborne, Nov. 2. Shortly before 8.30 p.m. on Saturday, a man named David Clark, a roadman in the employ of the Cook County Council, was found fatally injured oil the bitumen road at Makaraka, about four miles from Gisborne. A. nearby farmer heard a crash and went out to tind (Clark, who was unconscious and died soon after. Clark was apparently struck from behind by an unknown motorist, He was (47 years of age, born in Scotland and believed to have no relatives in the Dominion.
