I XTKK.-'GLUB LADIES’ MATCH. A very enjoyable match was played on the local links yesterday afternoon between a team of ten ladies from the Palmerston North Club and local ladies. The Aveather during the earlier part of the pliiy was a little boisterous, but calmed down towards the end. The match resulted in a draw, each team scoring four wins, four losses and two each were halved. At the conclusion Mrs. Brown, the visitors’ captain, thanked the home, team for the enjoyable time spent, and the hospitality accorded and invited the local players to engage in a return match at Palmerston North next Wednesday afternoon. Miss B. Robinson, local Club captain, expressed the home team’s pleasure at meeting the visitors and accepted the invitation extended.
