FOXTON LUNCH CLUB.

M ONTHL Y MEETIN G. The monthly meeting of the Foxton Lunch Club was held in ‘Whyte’s Hotel this afternoon, presided over by Rev. IV. H. Nicholas. Also present were Messrs D. Christie, C. M. He we It, J. K. Hornblow, R. J. Thompson, W. E. Bullard, S. A. Poole, IV. Trueman, R. M. Parkes', R. Sqrbie, G. F. Smith, F. A. Mason, M. E. Perreau, W. fl. Walton, and the secretary (Mr E. H. Murray). An apology was received from Mr M. B. Bergin.

The speaker Avas Mr M. H. Oram, of Palmerston North, who took for his- subject, “George Bernard Shavv and His Works.” At the conclusion of an interesting address the speaker was accorded a hearty vote of thanks on the motion of Messrs S. H. Poole and IC. M. Hewett.
