WELLINGTON EARLY SETTLERS’ ASSOCIATION.
The Wellington Early 'Settlers’ and Historical Association gave an “at home” in honour of their .Excellencies Lord and. Lady Blodisloe, at Wellington yesterday afternoon.
Among those present were Mrs Cornford, of Karori (mother of .Mrs C. Hunt, of Foxton), who first landed in New Zealand in 1841, as a girl of eleven years; Mrs Eagle, of Karori; Mrs Harley, of Nelson; Mrs Wilton, Mrs Moore, Mrs Morris, Mrs. Roskrugc, Mrs Duncan, Mrs Read, Mrs London, Airs E. J. Brown, -Mrs Lloyd, Mrs Renai, Mrs Barnard, Mrs Elicit, Airs Toomath, MrsjSaneto, Misses Allen, Randall, and Alartin, Mr McGowan; Air Pain, of' Alarlinborough; Mr Daysh, of Marti thorough; Air Burns, of Pctone; Messrs Bowk, Goulter, Milligan, A. L. Hunt, and Toomath, all of Wellington.
A pleasant afternoon closed with he singing of “Auld Lang Syne."
