“DIANE DEVELOPS.”

A CLEVER PERFORMANCE. We heartily congratulate the Levin Operatic and Dramatic Society on its production of the 3-act. mtisicomedv, “Diane Develops’’ at the Town Hall on Thursday evening. ■ The audience, was delighted and showed their appreciation ,hv unstinted applause. Thai the - comedy was pmducied within six weeks of selecting the caste, speaks volumes for the work of the producers, Messrs Cardston and Baxter, and the enthusiasm of those taking part. As Madame Valet a Pozootn, Mr. J. Dnvidson-Baxtor was a scream and he kept: the audience in a. simmer of merriment. All the others in the caste sustained their characters admirably. The musical numbers were bright and peppy. The tap dancing by four little girls, Misses Joan Williams, Bessie Vernon, June Ryder and Mail die Harding was excellent, while the artistic and graceful dancing of little Joan ' Williams 'was of outstanding merit. A special word of commendation must he given to the orchestra which added to the success of the performance. . We hope that the Society will include Foxton in any future performances, when they can be assured of a hearty reception.
