Members ol! the Blind Boys’ Band, fil'ieen in nil, arrived in Foxton this afternooii and were formally welcomed hv the Mayor (Mr. M. E. Pcrreau). .lack Shortt, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Shortt, who for some time were residents of " Manawatu Heads, where the; unfortunate lad lost, his sight through the explosion of a shell he was playing with, is a member of the Band. The Band will play publicly tomorrow afternoon and in the ev-
ening a concert will he hold in the Town Hall. An excellent musical entertainment is promised and it is to he hoped that there will be a good attendance of the public. Jack Short! will contribute recitation numbers.
