CYCLIST KILLED

Wellington, Last Night. A head-on collision 'between a motor-ear and a motor-cycle on the Petoue side of the Koro Koro railway crossing occurred about 11t.40 last night. As the result William Hentryf, of Lower Hutt, was killed. AI the time the accident took place the ear, a sedan, was travelling -towards Wellington, and the motor-cycle was going in the diri el ion of Lower Hutt. On the pillion of the cycle was Mrs. Humphreys, who. is a isis-ter-in-law of Mr. Hentryf. Both were flung from the machine. Mr. liciilryf’s skull was fraeltired, and he died shortly after the mislvap, while Mrs. Humphreys suffered injuries to her back, and lacerated wounds to her legs. The driver of the motor-ear was Clarence D. IT. Orr, and there were several passengers in the ear, although none of them sustained any injury. Orr was placed under arrest.
