iIV. Robinson gave an explanation of what had happened in Foxton prior to the published statement that there was a likelihood of a separate district being formed there with a resultant breakaway Irom Horowhenuu. He said that no new dub was formed, but a few sports got together to run Sunday matches in the cause of unemployment relief. In consequence they realised a few pounds and obtained a subsidy from the lto rough Council to carry out some treeplanting, etc. There was no suggestion of the Foxton (dub pulling a way from the Ilorowhenua Rugby Council; it had never been suggested by the Foxton club and was nut likely to be. He hoped it was not thought that he was disloyal to t.liis Council, of which lie had been a member for many years. If there was ever any suggestion of pulling away, he would be the last to support it, and as long as Horowlienun had a council he hoped to belong to it. 'The chairman accepted Mr. Robinson’s explanation as quite satisfactory.
