DATE OF UNVEILING. The unveiling of the Massey memorial at Point Halswell will take place on September 11). At a meeting of the Massey Memorial Reserve Board this week, the supervising architect, Mr. S. Hurst Seager, notified that be hud given his certificate of completion of the memorial to the contractors.
Tlie Prime Minister, the Hon. G. W. Forbes, regretted trafc it had not been found possible to arrange for the unveiling ceremony prior to his departure for the Imperial Conference, and he expressed a desire that the ceremony should take place during the present session of Parliament. to enable members of both Houses of Parliament, to pay homage to a distinguished statesman. The board approved of the ceremony taking place during the afternoon of Friday, September ID. The Board will again meet at an early date to consider details of the ceremony.
