PARLIAMENT

FINANCIAL DEBATE CONTINUES. The lUiiinciul debate continues in (lie House but very little new ground bus been covered. In spite of the desire of the I'rime Minister to conclude the debate as early as possible it appears that il will not draw to a close before the end of this* week. It is understood that each of the 20 Labour members intend to speak. Only eight have so far spoken, which leaves 12 more, each with an hour at his disposal. There have been eight speakers from the Government benches and eleven from the Opposition side of the House, making a total of 02 since the mojving of the no-confidence amendment by the Leader of the Opposition, Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates. There is thus every prospect of the debate running into next week.
