VISIT FROM BLIND BOYS’ BAND.
■At Monday night's Borough Council meeting a letter was received! from the Jubilee Institute for the Blind, a slicing the Council if it Would make the necessary arrangements for a visit from the Blind Boys’ Band on September ,19th. The Mayor reported that Mr. Caple had ottered to arrange for the ihiJteting of the boys and tuning of' the piano in the hall I,’or the concert to be arranged, lie expressed the hope Ilia! by September the lown would he in a better liisaneia.l position and that the band would be well patronised as the cause was most deserving, lie also mentioned that lie had recently visited the Institute and there had met two Foxlon inmates both of whom were happy and well. One was looking forward to visiting Fox ton with the Band. Cr. Cowley suggested that the hall be offered free to the Band. The cause was a most deserving one. This was agreed to- and the Council decided to form itself into a committee to give whatever assistance it could to make the boys’ visit to Foxton happy and memorable.
