INVERCARGILL AND WESTERN MAORI. Wellington, July 15. The Premier announced to-day that the Invercargill committee of the United .party had unanimously selected Air. Vincent Ward to contest the Invercargill seat at the byelection. Mr. Taile te Tomo, of Tokoningi, Maori organiser for the Reform party for several years, who has just returned from Wellington, intimates that he has been officially accepted by the party's headquarters as the Reform nominee for Western Maori iu succession to the late Sir Muni Roman;. It is understood that Mr. Te Tomo has a large backing from the natives.
