FIRE BRIGADE BALL
UNQUALIFIED SUCCESS.
The Town Ilall was tastefully decorated with streamers, greenery ami balloons on Tuesday evening on the occasion of the 'Poston Fire Brigade’s annual ball. The addition of coloured lights round the ball added much to the attractiveness of the decorations. The hall was packed, many visitors being present from Levin, Shannon, Tokomairu,, Palmerston North, Glen oroua and the surrounding districts. Shower streamers, squeakers and other novelties added greatl.\ to Ihe evening’s enjoyment. The supper room was decorated with streamers and greenery and the catering arrangements under the capable management of the committee, left nothing to be desired. Excellent music was provided by Larkin's orchestra and the evening was voted a huge success. The extras were played by Miss M. Delaney and Mr. J. Newton.
