CHILDREN IN HOSPITAL

TEACHER TO BE APPOINTED,

At the April meeting of the Wanganui Education Baoard, the chairman of the Palmerston North Hospital Board (Mr. J. K. Hornblow) applied for a teacher to be appointed to take charge of a class for inmates of the children’s ward of school age. The Education Board received the* application favourably and passed on the recommendation to the Department. At last night’s meeting of the Education Board, a letter was received from the Department approving of establishing the class. The Board will now take immediate steps to appoint a suitable teacher and provide the necessary equipment. The class will be attached to the Terrace End school.
