APRIL WORK INC. The amount of gas manufactured during the mouth of April was 383,300 feel, which, with the amount in the* holder on April Ist., 17,000 ft., made a total of 100,300 ft, During the month 302,800 ft. was used by consumers, 22,000 ft. at the •vurks and there was 17,000 ft in tup holder on April 30i.1t., making a 11 itnl of 341,800 ft. accounted for and leaving 58,500 ft., representing 14.6 per cent, unaccounted for, Thirty-one tons 3cwl. of coal were carbonised, yielding 11,800 c.ft. of gas to the ton, and producing seven tons of coke. The receipts for the month tidied £146 2/1, and were made up as follows: —Gas sales (lighting) £23 9 9, heal and power £ll9 18/11, coke sales £2, tar sales 3/-, services and liftings 4/1, miscellaneous 6/6.
The expend it it re for the month totalled £193 5/4, ami was made up is follows:—<'oal £B7 9/7, salaries and wages £42 3/-, cartage and freight 5/6, Interest and Sinking Fund £63 7/3.
