A. Nash, ALP., R. ltd wards, R. Bryant, (J. Bionkhorn, ■M. E. Perrean, VV. E. Barber and the secretary (Mr It. Kangihetieu). COiittEBPOJNUENtCE was read ami dealt with as follows : From .Messrs Guldiughaiu and Beckon, asking if t/he Board’s concession for loads of 20(1 sacks of produce applied to motor lorries'as well as lu the Railways. Mr Nash: Why not -l Mr Perrean said that the concesMna slum hi apply to lorries as there was less work entailed as the Board did not ha ve to sheet lorries whereas they had to do this to the i nicks. It was decided to inform Messrs Coldinglia hi and Beckett lhat the • oncession applied to lorries as well as lo trucks.

ACQUISITION OE NATIVE LAND. Mr 1t... Edwards reported that since last nicotine Oo had not been able lo further pursue the matter of ar<|uisition of Native Lauds bounding on the southern bank of the Manawaln River for tree planting purposes owing to tile fact that must of the Native owners concerned bad been absent at Batumi. He anticipated, however, being able to piece .something definite before the Board ar its next meeting.
