WINTER ATTRACTION AT PALMERSTON NORTH.
Twenty-seven years ago the first National Dairy Show was held at Palmerston North and few people who were present, on that memorable occasion had any idea that this Winter Show was eventually to heroine an event of national importance, yet such is the case to-dav. Breed societies and various dairy oiganisalions in the Dominion make Palmerston North the venue of an
annual meeting or a conference while the National Dairy Show is .a progress. Much year special otlurls are made ny the Alanawalu A. ami P. Association to amuse and instruct the visitor until the huspiialiiw of that body is second to none in the Dominion. This year a special feature of the show is to be I | l( . |'a| stock show and sale. The entry fees have been reduced for this'event and the prize money has been increased. It is anticipated Hint the fat stock section will be ; lie biggest that has ever been held in Palmerston North. Other seelions of the schedule comprise classes for everybody be they man, woman or child. Jn conjunction with Ihe winter show will be held the annual exhibition of the Afanawatu Poultrv Association and exhibitors
arc requested to note that the poultry show will close at 5 p.m. on Friday the 20th June. Schedules will be posted free to intending exhibitors making application to the ret ary, P.O. Box 85, Palmerston North.
