Yesterday afternoon a rink consisting of Christie, Huntley, Nve and Thomson visited Terrace Knd and played the holders of the Dixon Cup, hut were unsuccessful, tin* iina.l scores being Terrace End of>, Foxton 10.

The green was very fast, there bring no green grass visible on the whole area, hilt the excellence ot the playing surface was mitigated by a Ihndunling wind, which at limes reached almost a gale. This made play very uncertain, and accounted for an extraordinary number of dead Imwds throughout the game, it being impossible to .judge width with any semblance of regular itv.
