THE STAGE ECLIPSED.

COLOUR AND TALKIE FILMS,

11ml sensation of Warner Bros.’ and Vitaphono production, “On With the Show," which, is to be screened at the De Luxe Theatre, Levin, for four nights, commencing this evening, brings to the public .lor the lirst time an all-techni-eolour, all talking, singing and dancing production. Once again, Warner Bros, have revolutionised the motion picture industry. As lirst they made the formerly dumb drama of the screen articulate with vitaphone, they now have endowed the once drab colours of iilmdom with all the colours of the rainbow. The colour photography is gorgeous and the parade of colours, 1 rocks, and pageant in the musical comedy sequences rival the best efforts of any stage production. Betty iCompsqn, who leads an allstar cast, does some superb acting in the portrayal of a worldly-wise slmw-girl, to whom the show business is an old story. There are several catchy tunes, clever comedy supplied by Louise Fazenda and Joe S. Brown, while Sally O’Neil, Arthur Lake, the Fairbanks twins, Sam Hardy and others complete ant all-star east. There will be matinees on Thursday, Friday and Saturday afternoons, commencing at 2 o'clock.
