There was a record attendance nl the Sandoii Sports on Saturday. The weather was gloriously line, and the tracks for both cycling and Hat eveints were fast.
A feature of the meeting was the exceptionally large number of entries received, the aggregate eclipsing previous records. Particularly was this so in the children’s section, wherein the McKelvie and ttornblow Shield competitions attracted keen competition from practically every school in the surrounding district. Another feature was the strong support accorded :lie piping and dancing events. During the afternoon an exhibition of eurhythmies was given by pupils of the Foxton High School.
