Dunedin, Last Night,

A distressing fatality occurred at Itoslyn this morning, when Paltrieia Valerie McDonald, aged 3 years, inadvertently strangled herself with a window cord. The little girl, daughter of Mr. Frederick; John McDonald!, o i Chapman Street, was put down in a single bed by her mother at 10.15 for 'her morning sleep. When the mother back to, get her up for dinner about two hours later, she found the child hanging with her head through a window cord and her toeg about lour inches off the floor. The doctor who was called in could only pronounce life to be extinct.
