PRESBYTERIAN LADIES’ SOCIAL GUILD.

The lirst meeting for 1930 of the Presbyterian Ladies’ Social Guild was held at the residence of Mrs. ,1. Ross, Thymic Street, on Tuesday evening. There was a record attendance of members and friends, upwards of forty being present. Novel competitions created much

amusement and were won by 'Mesdamos 'Baird and Satherl.ey and \ir. Barron. Songs by Mr. Billiard and an instrumental .item by Mr. Anderson were much appreciated. Supper was dispensed by the hostess and many willing assistants. During the evening Air. Nicholas briefly referred to the church jubilee to be held in March and it was unanimously decided to call a meeting of the ladies of the church cnrlv next week.

Before dispersing Mrs. Nicholas proposed a vote of thanks to the hostess, which was carried by acclamation.
