SWIMMING CARNIVAL TO-NIGHT.

AT LOCAL BATHS

It is to be hoped that there will be a large attendance of the local public at the baths this evening nu the occasion of the first carnival run by the Foxton Surf and Life Saving Club. The Club is deserving of the utmost support in its work. Admission will be adults ijd, children 3d. A real good programme of events has been arranged.

The Foxton Surf and Life Saving Club has made arrangements for a visit to ocean beach on Sunday of the Island Bay Life Saving ■•Flub, which will give demonstralions ol* lilV savin**- in I lie* mornin«*’ and afternoon. The team will arrive at 4 ,p.m. on Saturday and he billeted locally. Demonstrations will lie conducted at 10.45 a.m., 2.30 p.m. and 3.30 p.m. on the Sunday. The Club held a successful practice on the beach last Sundav.
