Dorset, who has been an inmate of the Palmerston North Hospital for some time was able to spend last week end at home. ITe is now progressing quite satisfactorily but it will be two weeks before be receives bis discharge from the institution. Mr. (!. A. Monk, chairman of the llorow'henua County Council, Ilorowhenua Power Board and Palmerston Hospital Board, has consented to address the local Lunch Club at an early dale. Mr. Monk is probably the most prominent public man on this coast and to his broad vision and activities must be attributed, in no small measure, the progress of the llorowhenua dis- ! riet. Dr. L. .1. Hunter, of Levin, has been appointed lion., physician to the Palmerston North Hospital. Tiie board, it will be remembered, was unable to till the position in Palmerston North.
