FOXTON RUGBY FOOTBALL CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING MONDAY.
The annual meeting of the Foxton Rugby Football Chib will he held in the Town Hall supper-room on Monday evening at 8 o’clock. A full attendance of members and prospective members is requested. OTAKI CLUB MEETS, The Otaki Club held its annual meeting on -Monday night when there was an attendance of sixty present, The balace-sheet showed gross receipts for the year £35 7/of which vice-presidents contributed £7 Hi/-, lion, members £6 7/6, and bus fares collected £ll 13/G. There was only one sub outstanding, probably a record for the eliilb. Expenditure totalled £23 16/4 and the balance-sheet disclosed a credit balance at the end of the season of £ll 10/8. The report stated that the Club was able to field a fifteen for every match and was successful in having four representative players selected.
Officers were elected as follows: —President,: Mr. H. B. Edhouse; club captain: (senior), Mr. Meta Johnson; secretary: Mr. W. C. Childs; treasurer: Mr. B. Ryder; delegates to Union: Messrs J. McGill, B. Elliott, J. Warnoclc, H. Nicolson, G. Sharp, and W: Brown.
Mr. Warnock referred to the splendid services rendered by Mr. Childs as secretary, and suggested that lie be given a bonus of two guineas.—Carried unanimously.
A meeting of football enthusiasts was held at Te Horo on Tuesday when it was decided not to form a club this season, but to combine with Otaki.
