"GET ON WITH IT."
HIGHWAY SEALING. Wanganui, February 5. That the 'Rangitikei County l oiincil was not up-to-date in the matter of improving roads under its control was the opinion of the executive of the Wanganui Development League, expressed at its meeting last night. “Not a scrap of tar-sealing has been done by them from Wangehu lo Bulls or to T'aihape,” said Air. Allen, “while in the Wairarapa there are bitumen roads from Masterton in all directions.” “This district is behind in the matter of road improvements,” said Mr. Burgess, “and pressure should be brought to bear on the Highways Board to have the roads in (lie Rangitikei County completed.” Tt was resolved to write to the Rangitikei County Council asking it to get on with the tar-sealing of the road from Wiangaehu to Bulls and Afarton, and to invite the cooperation of the Wanganui Chamber of Commerce, Marton Borough Council, and Bulls Town Board.
