•Sir,- —-Again I courteously ask the Mayor for public reply to the two clauses under discussion, as set out in my letter of Saturday’s issue. I am, etc., J. COLDER.
We have submitted the above to the Mayor who states that a perusal of the minute hook will provide the correspondent with any iulorination he desires in connection with hand matters.
Sir, —-As your newspaper probably circulates in that portion of the* Wellington-Auckland main highway to which I wish to refer, I tube the Liberty as one who pays taxation for good highways to express surprise and disappointment it the condition of the highway v a lew miles south of Levin to Sanson township. This, sir, is the v-'orsl road surface between Te Haiti and WHlington and something should be done, sir, to stir cither a somnolent local body or indifferent Board into action, or grant motorists free repairs for damage done to cars compelled to travel along them. Thanking you in anticipation. Yours etc., BREAKDOWN.
