CAR GOES INTO DITCH ON LEVIN ROAD.
OCCUPANTS UNINJURED
Messrs P. Hickey and E. Bryant, of Fox-ton, had a narrow escape from serious injury on Tuesday evening. They were proceeding along the Leyin-Foxton highway in I he direction of iFoxton shortly after JO o'clock in a car owned and driven by Mr. Hickey and when negotiating the corner opposite Mr. Symon’s property just south of the bad bend oil the. Levin side of the Willirokind Bridge the car skidded into the ditch on the side of the road and tipped over on to its side. •The vehicle.-which'is a new sedan, was not badly damaged but all. the glass along one side was smashed and the steering gear damaged. The rear buffer was torn away aud the r ings slightly bent. Fortunately the occupants were not injured and were given a lift into town. The car was towed in for repair the next morning.
