ACCIDENT ON FOXTON TRAIN.

A local lad, Clifford Carmont, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. 'Carmont, of Johnston Street, met with a somewhat iseilious,, accident on the Fox Lon. train, last evening. At one of the stations up the line he went to open a door leading out of the carriage when his hand slipped on the blass plate and went through the glass of the door severely gashing his right wrist. First aid was rendered on the train by Guard Adams and a passenger, named Parker, but not before the boy had lost a considerable quantity of blood. On the arrival of the train at Fox ton the injured lad was attended to by Dr. E. M. Wvllie after which he was removed to the Palmerston North Hospital. This morning ho was reported to be progressing quite satisfactorily and will he able to return home this afternoon.
