FOXTON LUNCH CLUB.
MONTHLY MEETING,
The monthly meeting of the Foxton Lunch G 1 ub was hold in Whyte’s Hotel to-dav. The attendance was not up to the usual owing to a number of members being absent- on holiday. The meeting was presided over by Mr. M. E. Peirreau (chairman) and there was no speaker it having been decided that at this meeting general business be discussed.
The secretary submitted a balance sheet which disclosed a credit balance for the year, which (lull'd on December 3rd, 1020, of •Cl) 4/7. Members subscriptions for tlie year totalled £O.
Twelve meetings wore held during the year which were well attended.
There were present : Messrs F. A. Mason, IV. E. Bullaird, J. Tv. Hornblow, 11. R-e-id, G. F. Smith, D. Christie, IT. E. Gafibeft, R. Sorbic, F. Murray, W. Trueman and the secretary (Mr. I. Corn). Apologies for absence were received from Mosslrs M. B. Borgin, IV. 11. Nicholas, K. J. Thompson and J. Newton. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The election of ol’fihcrs resulted as follows: — President: F. A. Mason Esq.; vice-presidents: ID. Christie, M. E. Perreau: executive committee: Messrs LI. E. Garbett, R-. Hornblow, W. Trueman and G. F. Smith; secretary and treasurer: Mr. f. Corn. GENERAL. Mr. F. Murray made a. suggestion that one meeting be devoted to short impromptu speeches by a number of members and this recommendation will he discussed by the committee.
