ROAD CYCLE RACING.

SMITH WINS FIVE MILK EVENT. The Foxton Amateur Athletic and leveling Club held a live mile road cycle race last evening,' the course being around the Johnston Street block. The event, attracted ten competitors who were sent off from the Post Office. There was a fair attendance of the public present 4o witness the race, which resulted as follows: J. Smith (fisee.) 1 K. Mairtin (20see.) 2 W. Hussey (Gsee.) 3 Smith off: virtual scratch rode a good race and finished a length in front of Martin. Hussey was a close third.
