WEDDING.

T AY LOR —'STEPHENS. A wedding which attracted considerable local and district attention was celebrated in All Saints’ Church yesterday afternoon, when Albert James, eldest son of Mir. and Mrs. Taylor, of Spark-hill, Birmingham-, England, was united to Rose Marjorie, second daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Stephens, of West Bromwich, England. Rev. W. H., Walton was the officiating clergyman and the service was fully choral. The Chujrch was decorated for the occasion by members of the choir and a beautiful marriage bell, made by Mrs. 0. H. Symons and Miss Yorke, hung in the chancel. The bride, who entered the Church on the arm of Mr. Fired Harris, of Union Street, was charmingly attired in ivory georgette and satin trimmed with orange blossom, with lace train and wore cream satin shoes. Miss Peggy Robertson, of Napier, a friend of the bride, was in attendance as chief bridesmaid, daintily attilred in lavender georgette with picture hat to match. Two little flower, girls. Miss Joan Cowley, attired in shell pink, and Miss Winnie Harris, in powder blue crepe de chene with rose bud trimmings to ■match, completed the picture. Mr. Fred E. Roworth, of Wellington, carried out the duties of best man. Aliss Nancy Robinson presided at the organ and the hymn “The Voice That Breather O’er Eden,” was played as the bride entered the Church.

,On leaving the vestry the bride was presented by Master Alan Lock, of Auckland, with a silvered Moral horseshoe.

After -the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. F. .Harris were host and hostess at a reception held at Walls’ where the guests were entertained and the following toasts honoured: —Bride and Bridegroom, Rev. W. H. Walton; Bridesmaids, proposed by Mr. S E. Cowley, response Mir. F. E. Roworth; Bride and Bridegroom's relatives, Mr. M. Robertson, response Mi 1 . A. J. Taylor'; ( Absent Friends, at Home, Mr. W. Harris, response Mr. A. J. Taylor; ,Host and Hostess, Rev. Walton, response Mr. F. Harris.

The 'bridegroom’s present to the bride was a gold bangle and the bride’s gift to the bridegroom, a set of gold cuff -links. The bestman’3 gift to the bride was a Rhinestone necklace and the bridegroom’s present to the bridesmaids, Rhinestone necklaces.

'The bride is only a recent arrival from England, but Mr. Taylor is veil known in this district, having resided hejre for some time during which lib was associated with the local Soccer Club.

After the breakfast the happy couple left by car for Palmerston North eh route for the! North, •where the honeymoon will be spent and on their return Mr. and Mrs. Taylor will take up their residence in Wellington.

The bouquets for the wedding were made by Mrs. A. Heasmaii. Among' those present were: — Mrs. S. E. Cowley, black satin, with green hat; Mrs. J. Lock, of Auckland, floral sijlk rayon with hat to tone; Mrs. F. Harris, floral silk voile with hat to tone; Mrs. Robertson, of Napier, black georgette with black hat to tone; Miss Jean Robertson, of Napier, rose pink georgette, hat to tone; Mrs. Potts, floral rayon with hat to tone.
