FOXTON DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL.

GALA DAY TO-MORROW.

The public are reminded of the gala to be held in the school grounds to-morrow afternoon, commencing at two o’clock. An interesting and entertaining programme of outdoor events has been arranged as well as stalls for the sale of calkies, sweets, produce, fancy goods, ice cream, etc.

. Afternoon tea will be served at a small charge on thfe lawn. The teachers and pupils hope to see a big gathering of parents and friends and appeal to one and all to come along. ■Santa Claus will be present during the afternoon and will distribute toys to the infants. Proceeds of the function will be in aid of school funds/ s BREAKING UP CEREMONY THURSDAY. The annual “breaking-up” ceremony will take place at the school on Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock, when the- Bock memorial prizes and certificates won during the year , will be presented by Mr. J. K. Hornblow, member of the Wanganui Education Board. The general ’ ] nblic are cordially invited to attend.

BEACH SCHOOL /CONCERT TO-NIGHT. '

The public are also reminded of the concert to be rendered by the pupils; of the Beach School at the Bench Hall to-night. -
